Purchasers of this product should note that this is an entry level lens and does not perform to the exacting standards of other commercial lenses that can cost well over $1K, and at this time the prisms have no anti-reflective coating. This lens, when used with vertical stretch processing, makes use of the entire native pixel map of a 16x9 digital cinema projector. It is a fraction of the cost of other commercial lenses, and is perfect for the budget conscious home theater enthusiast.
Dual prism style lenses characteristically introduce some chromatic aberration as well as pincushion effect. Test patterns will reveal these effects, but are hardly noticeable to the viewer who is immersed in the story of a movie.
