A Closer Look At The Features

The purpose here is to offer a closer look into the features that characterize the JTX Dual Prism Anamorphic Lens. Please note, this article is still under construction.

INTERIOR LIGHT TRAPPING LININGAll lenses are lined with a specially engineered light absorbing surface that is equally effective at all angles of incidence. Unlike “decorative” flocking grades, the fibers of this lining won’t shed on any of the optical surfaces. The material is 100% synthetic based, so it's not damaged by moisture. This “light trapping lining” has been added because prism based anamorphic lenses produce reflections that occur within the prism enclosure. This stray light can decrease on screen contrast as any light that reaches the screen unintentionally will do. The lining is designed to absorb 99% of all visible light. For comparison, typical flat black paint absorbs about 95% of all light. This results in a 4% advantage when applying this special lining.
